I'm learning to rest without feeling guilty about it
Posted Jul 10
I spent years equating rest with laziness. Even now, when I take an afternoon to do nothing, a voice in my head lists everything I should be doing instead. Recovery taught me my body actually needs downtime, but my habits haven't caught up. I'm practicing saying 'I'm resting on purpose' instead of apologizing for it. Some days I believe it. Some days I don't. What helped you stop treating rest like something you have to earn?
