I reached out for help and nobody replied what now
Posted Jun 23
I finally typed out a message saying I wasn't doing well and sent it to three people I trust. Two left it on read. One replied three days later with a thumbs up. I felt stupid for being vulnerable and deleted the message from my side. Now I'm sitting here wondering if I should try again or just handle everything alone. It took so much courage to ask. What do you do when reaching out goes nowhere?

Its OK.. try again.. People have their lives.. and we dont specific person we need someone to just hear.. not everyone will have time.. but if you do really need help you can have a code word with the close ones.. like somewhere I read.. one friend specifes " Hi do you have 8 minutes" this would mean that he or she needs some time importantly from their friends
Nice 👍 that’s good advice. I will try this. It really sucks when you have something personal to say but people don’t respond the way you want them to
Reaching out still had value. Maybe they read it and didnt know how to help or respond or perhaps were not in the mindspace to engage. But from your side atleast you were able to put it out there and thats a good thing. Why deleting the message, can just let it stay anyway and continue to try and handle it on your own. Help often comes unexpectedly too
Honestly, I think reaching out took courage, and a delayed or small response doesn’t make your vulnerability stupid. Sometimes people simply don’t know how to respond. I’d say don’t handle everything alone. If you’d like, you can DM me.
